Slip Form Construction
In 1988, F.A. Rohrbach, Inc. was the first Lehigh Valley company to own and operate a slipform paver. As a PennDOT pre-qualified concrete contractor, our veteran slipform crew has annually placed over 100,000 lineal feet of curb. As of 1996, we had constructed over 1 million lineal feet of curb and sidewalk. In September 1998 we added our second crew for slipforming. Not only will this allow us to satisfy the increasing demand from our existing customers, but our new PowerCurber 5700B is much more versatile than previous models and will allow us to construct more sidewalk and add paths, swales, barrier, parapet and gradebeams to our repertoire.
